Question: What drink pairs well with plank grilled salmon?

Beaujolais is traditional with salmon but, considering the glaze, your idea sounds pretty good. I'm not a great believer in cocktails before a good meal. They tend to dull the palate.

usually white wine is good with fish or even a zinfandel... a corona:)

i would say wine: a light chardonnay would go well
beer: a good basic lager, just not a light beer
i don't normally recommend cocktails with meals, but i would do a nice dry gin martini

Corona Light or Modelo. The Modelo Especial is clean with no aftertaste,
so I suggest the Modelo. I had grilled salmon(not frozen) for the first time at an
Outback. The salt thing I don't understand. The fish I ate was pink, not
well done.

I would serve a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio as the aperitif. I would definitely serve Pinot Noir with the Salmon, a classic pairing.
