Question: Answer these psychology questions?

Answer #1:

You my friend are in serious trouble, because you seem to find the correct answers amusing...

Emmert's law _is_ what generates perceptual constancy, google for it.

The cocktail party effect _is_ what allows us to pay attention to only one auditory stimulus amongst many competing stimuli.

The blueish tint illustrates one mechanism leading to constance of scale. Because the air is blue, things appear bluer when they have vast amounts of air in front of them (i.e. they're really far away). Your brain uses the blueness as a distance hint.

The rocket launch is a better demonstration of constance of scale, because the rocket seems to be the same size even though the retinal image gets rapidly smaller as the rocket gets farther away, but it doesn't seem to illustrate the "mechanism".

For your exam, I would just circle the answer you find funniest, that approach got you 67% here...
